As someone from the security domain you should know there is not one single tool/service that will solve all your security challenges. I did not claim VPN will. Your example of employee laptop getting infected with malware should be re

The difference, hopefully, is that private Jenkins installation is behind corporate network. So for attackers to reach it, either they need to breach the network first or it’s an internal employee. Personally i’m a big proponent of both clo

It’s not clear how this 200k was spent. In terms of team composition, age of your startup. So some more context would be nice.

Nice finding. It would help also to suggest a workaround. Perhaps “overloading“ the function? Not a Golang expert here. But providing a solution (other than waiting for upstream) would be beneficial for others.

We have been using prometheus at a client for little over a year now. Since we need to keep metrics for years, prometheus cannot seem to be able to deal with it well. One behavior we observed is it crashes consistently in k8s. We couldn’t p

At my current startup we are doing something similar. Perhaps as inspiration for others without the huge budgets. From very high level it works as follow: - developer logs in to AWS cli - executes: dev/01-start-env.sh - prepare infra s

As someone that builds platforms for a living, the core reason I believe is that AWS is now a spaghetti monolith. It was somewhat a natural consequence because the type of service AWS provides which is infrastructure. It evolves very slowly
