I've survived also, but deep down feel cheated of missing the incredibly generous severance. Oh, to be incompetent ...

Maybe this explains the recent bug I experienced where, when attempting to renew my iOS developer program for $99, the system added the Mac developer program to my cart for an additional $99 (which I didn't want).

By that logic, if people started leaving Facebook for another service to post their photos, the older crowd would follow them in order to keep seeing their grandchildren.

This is exactly what I did too, for similar reasons. I use Facebook like Twitter. There are some organizations I'm interested in that don't use Twitter and instead post updates or news only on Facebook. I much prefer Facebook with

I can attest to this. I have a GTX 970 and disabled HairWorks because it seemed to cost me at least 10FPS.

How about PREST? Pragmatic REST?

I prefer to call my APIs RESTish. That way, I can avoid never ending debates about whether some particular feature of my API conforms to REST.

You may want to update your FAQ to reflect that. As of now, it reads as if it's required. At least, that was my interpretation. "Can I use Joyable without a coach? All clients are assigned a coach and have a kick-off call ."

I thought it odd to require a 30 minute call with a coach as the first step. Wouldn't that discourage potential users, who might be anxious about a phone call with a stranger to discuss these very personal issues?

Which mission statement is that? I thought their mission was specific to the Internet and open source software.

It is interesting to see the responses both ways here: those who think there is malfeasance and those who don't, both with various reasonings. It would be more interesting to see the same posts next to the author's political leani

Sadly, "around the clock" makes for a sexier story. I'm reminded of a previous job where working late and being super busy was worn like a badge of honor - while 75% of the day was filled with meetings. Also, many people did

I like this idea and tried something similar myself recently (though perhaps not as extreme). I, too, found myself bored (a problem magnified by the dismally cold winter and that I live by myself). Is that what retirement is like?

At the level of donation in this example, that probably works. Consider though a donation of say, $1 million. Is it important to know who donates that amount and thus potentially exerting a great deal of influence? Maybe the notable diffe

At my last job, I was usually the one that cleaned up old or unused code after we had gone through a design change or such. It was always very satisfying. Not so much, though, for the poor chap whose code was usually the target of deletion

The fallout from this will be interesting to watch. If there are other employees of Mozilla that supported Prop. 8 or are otherwise opposed to gay marriage, do they now fear for their jobs? I keep seeing the argument that it's only bec

Among the quiz questions that OkCupid asks its users, do any of them deal with this issue (given the extensive set of questions they ask on very diverse subjects, I might guess yes?). Are the users who don't support gay marriage then

Is this the logic here? Organization X received $Y in funding. Organization X in some part denies climate change. Therefore $Y is spent on fighting climate change. This seems analogous to someone on the right looking at Planned Parenthood&
