I like this idea and tried something similar myself recently (though perhaps not as extreme). I, too, found myself bored (a problem magnified by the dismally cold winter and that I live by myself).
Is that what retirement is like?
- namenotrequired 13y agoI'm far from retirement, but I do believe that every phase in life is what you make of it. In other words, that might be the default state of retirement for some, but that doesn't mean it has to be like that. All retired people I know (including those who are widows) make sure to keep people around them and have various hobbies or found volunteer work that they are still able to do.
