As a consumer that uses credit cards, I don't think of this as much of a problem. All the credit cards I've used have 0 liability for fraud. It's a nuisance if my card is used fraudulently because I'll be issued a new ca

I didn't realize you could get the raw data. I looked a bit on their website and didn't find anything indicating you can. What format(s) will they export?

That sounds pretty fun. Despite not having played fantasy baseball for about ten years, I still have dreams (not aspirational dreams, the sleep kind) about playing, at least monthly. Maybe it is time.

The problems I had when trying jet.com were that they didn't have a lot of the things I was looking for, and when they did, it was the same price as ordered from Amazon Prime. That being said, I'll look again now with this announc

That's exactly right. Anonymity has its place, but it lacks the context that comes with identity. How often have I wished I could at least see the age of someone when reading through comments.

I think it takes a lot of cognitive dissonance to apply that principle to this case.

That is pretty chilling... Why did it take so long to refactor the main pages if they were so inefficient?

A sobering reminder of the disproportionate power of professional sports leagues. MLB antitrust exemption, anyone? (disclaimer: I love MLB, but c'mon).

I don't know. They may think it's impossible to have an advantage, but there's always an incentive to find that loophole. Forbidding employees to play on others' sites at least disincentivizes it a bit. Also, I don'

The death of hacker culture? Would most of these people otherwise would have been into what would be more traditionally considered hacker culture? Most hackathons now are for PR and for recruiting. Fine. With all the preaching about how eve

I really love JetBrains software and use IntelliJ daily, and this initially had me really annoyed. However, after looking at the detail, I'm intrigued. I have a personal IntelliJ license that's a couple versions old, and an even o

This is great! I was hoping to get a reaction from my cats, but they were pretty indifferent, giving me a look that said "So what? I'm still hungry." I am addicted to having the sound of a fan when I sleep. I can trace that b

You're exactly right. The context is missing. When I install an app and it asks for permission A, B, C, and D, I probably have no idea why, and it's scary. If I'm using the app and discover a new feature that asks me for perm

If I'm not mistaken, they have also increased the price of the powder. It is listed now at $280 for 28 days (112 meals), which used to be $255 (when I bought it). Or had they already changed that pricing?

In my experience, there was some issue with 1.0 and 1.1, and 1.2 was the worst offender. 1.3 fixed it, which was refreshing! I can't speak to 1.4 or 1.5, because having been disappointed in 1.4, I've hoarded 1.3
