I'm a totally moderate extreme left winger, but I think this is a big mistake. Science has always been about logic and experimental proof, not political gamesmanship. Yeah, I know politics is part of everything, but I think this hurts

Several of my friends who died in COVID heart attacks were super fit and very careful with eating. One was a pretty militant vegan. Yet they died in their 40s and 50s.

I know we're supposed to be shaking our fist at these stupid AIs, but why should Morgan be mentioned? Did she score any goals? Did she get much playing time? I didn't watch the game myself, but it's entirely possible she did

I'm very happy about this decision about CDL and I'm glad that the IA got smacked for being so obnoxious and anti-artist. But I'm also willing to turn a blind eye to the archive and the way back machine because they're u

If it's a ten unit building, how can it be anything but corporate ownership? I suppose we could pretend that all ten of the residents could create a co-op and that would be more like a single-family, owner-occupied home. But really, th

I think you're foolish if you think that stock price "has nothing to do with the quality of the food." Repeat customers are a big part of the profitability for any business and they're a big part of the success of Chipot

When you put it that way, I makes it harder to hate the C-suite. But I'm conditioned by all of the haters on social media to think that socialism will some how fix all of this.

If labor costs keep going up, it seems like the right path for the industry is to simplify installation more so it becomes more DIY. More plug-and-play. Less skilled carpenters and electricians.

I can't speak for the original commenter, but it's been widely noted that the university system isn't a very exciting or innovative place to be. Between the strict dogma and the high costs, many are moving on. Google, for ins

You don't need to convince me. Convince all of the authors out there. They have the power to send their work wherever they want. Really. They do. The fact that they continue to choose the publishers after all of these years suggests to

Editing, typesetting and curating are expensive. Yes, authors can do this and they contribute quite a bit, but it's not enough to support the high quality documents produced by Elsevier. Yes, tex-savvy authors can do a pretty good job
