In what way failed? Because it's like saying P2P failed because the big corps don't like it and try their best to stop it, while still existing for quite a while.

What else should they do then? GPL is a good call. Most keep the output under their own personal/company IP.

We are not really doing anything about climate change which has maybe 0.001% of NOT happening, do you think we would do anything for the reverse? It was and it is always going to be business as usual.

Off-topic but I'd totally read a blog from you where you use this pent-up bitterness against the current system to present bs nobody really talks about. It's quite refreshing. Just for your information.

Just to argue reading vs doing: I know lots of heavy readers who can't absolutely do something new. They only read and read. On the other hand, doing is a totally different skillset. I'm not against reading just that it's ver

Of course, you cannot summarise something which doesn't exist. Even with a perfect summary, the source is still going to give something more. Nobody is arguing against that.

Shouldn't surprise absolutely nobody, once you become the gatekeeper of the Internet, you're going to gatekeep. Now it's torrent sites and next it's going to be other things the party in charge doesn't like.

I think it depends on the upbringing on such kids: if you collect alone in the dark and share none of it with your kids before you're gone then it's not surprising that they wouldn't know what to do with any of those.

I re-read your comment 5 times and I still don't see the difference you're trying to highlight. What I got is: people buy games and they don't play most of them. Is it wrong?

Sane computer design, in what way? I still see unopenable devices, batteries glued to death and even more closed systems. Next they reverted to liquid glass UI, is that sane?
