I think this is the point where node is getting a bit silly. It's a wonderful tool with a clear purpose: simple high performance network servers that usually tie together a bunch of different servers behind them. If they are trying to turn

Agreed, this post is a big deal. It could have saved me a year of work on this front if I'd have access to these information earlier in Shopify's lifetime.

This page needs an example output to see what one can expect from the tool and there should be a better way then a git checkout to install. A rubygem that adds a binary perhaps. Edit: misstook it for a command line tool. This is great!

Fair enough. It doesn't have to be helpers. It could become the standard way of writing active ajax elements. Typing out <a href="/stuff" data-remote="true">more</a> is pretty efficient even by hand.

At the very least the unobtrusive javascript helpers. It's easy to imagine that all web frameworks will come to a kind of protocol modeled on the efforts of the rails core team here. This will mean that you can use any JS framework ( Protot

For 99% of all companies a simple unix box that collects log files and moves them along for permanent storage a few days later (S3/Tape) is enough. At Shopify we use Clarity which is a web frontend for Grep and Tail that we released as open
