Yeah, but I think either I shouldn't be able to delete it in the first place or I should be able to upload the original package with an unchanged hash. The alternative is that anyone with an == dependency is now permanently broken.

In all this discussion of npm, I wonder how PyPi stacks up. Once I tried to fix an issue with the source distribution of one of my packages on PyPi and found that I could delete it just fine, but uploading a new file with the same name fail

That's what you got from this article? I don't even understand why that's surprising. Did you expect them to use a specific moon flag? I guess I also wouldn't be surprised if they used a flag specifically resistant to bl

I think the grandparent post pretty clearly demonstrated a pretty good definition: > Global is asserting questionable IP rights aggressively and counting on the high cost of defensive litigation to win, so we consider it a troll If they

I'm not sure I understand what the motivation is for doing this with electronics? To try them out? Who would want a camera that you can only use for like a week or so?

Is got some sort of (derogatory?) term for git, or is this just your autocorrect consistently causing problems?

Is this a new change? I was really annoyed by this today when trying to navigate a repository on mobile. Pretty annoying.

It's very odd - I can barely work without syntax highlighting when programming, but this does absolutely nothing for me in English. I wonder why this is. I'm tempted to say that it's because generally when reading in English,

Even without this cross-border thing, there are tons of regulations about what kind of weaponry you can have, and I don't think anyone argues that the 2nd amendment would allow anyone unlimited access to bazookas or nuclear weapons. Pr

What does that even mean? If regulators say it's illegal to comply with the license terms, you can't use products released under those terms. It's not like the GPL'd components fall into the public domain.

I think it's obvious that what people mean is that "more unique" = "unique in more dimensions" or "the degree to which this differs from the norm is greater". E.g. (2, 4, 7) (2, 4, 8) (2, 8, 4) (2, 4, 7) (
