I live in the UK and pretty much rely on VoWifi to make/receive calls when at home. I can also think of a few places within an hours drive where my reception drops to “No Service”. You are completely wrong in your assertions.

Speaking as one Apple user, I don’t think of myself in a special club - I just like that my shit works. What I don’t understand is why Android users are so vested in ruining it for me. Can’t have nice things.

I’m not sure if it counts as a side-project, as it was just something I hacked together mostly out of curiosity. I’m also not sure if qualifies as “landing me a job”, but it was explicitly asked about during the interview process and they w

Porsche are heavily invested in synthetic fuels, I don’t think their ICE models are going anywhere soon.

Porsche purposely keep supply lower than demand, and you can’t just walk into a dealership and buy a new 911 or even get on the waiting list. You’d be advised to buy say a Macan and a Boxster first, then maybe they’d consider letting you pa

One of our cats will sit, high five, and run in a circle on command. Neither of us have ever trained any animals before, it just took some patience and some treats.

+1 for Vinegar, I much prefer the native video player. I originally installed it to allow PIP but the ad removal is a welcome bonus. There is also Baking Soda, from the same author, which does the same thing but for every website except You

Yeah, I agree Frigate is brilliant but I would love to hear how it has literally saved OP’s life! There must be a story behind that.

I used to aim for an average 20mph over my rides when I was in peak fitness, so putting it “beyond … physical capabilities” is nonsense.

My local supermarket in the UK (Booths) has just removed the self-service tills from nearly all their stores because it had a drastic impact on their customer satisfaction surveys, something they pride themselves on.

Residential 25Gbps is available in Switzerland, I don’t think you can reliably estimate someone’s location based on their bandwidth.

USA wouldn’t even extradite an American who killed a British citizen and fled the scene/country; you really think they’ll hand you over because a teenager saw some tits?

On the other hand, I’ve pretty much stopped using LPM after getting a 14 Pro and getting used to the higher refresh rate of the ProMotion display; I find the slower refresh rate really jarring (I also have a non-Pro 14 which I don’t like us

Authorised firearms officers will generally carry some form of rifle (or submachine gun?) as their primary firearm but will also carry a sidearm, most commonly a Glock 17 I think but I do know my local constabulary issue a SIG Sauer P320 (a

I’m pretty sure their body-worn cameras are automatically enabled (or tag the current time window to be retained?) when the officer’s taser is activated in at least some constabularies. Unfortunately the best source I have is a vague memory

Entirely possible, but my point was I just type “python” and Python 3 happens. Do modern OS even come with Python 2 anymore? I’m not claiming any mystery about Python, just disputing how the modern version is invoked.
