Hey Antonin here. I'm the author of xrefresh from binaryage. Yes, my bad. I started this project in the times when I was pure windows user and has no awareness of X11 utility. xrefresh stands for "eXternal refresh" which sounded kinda cool.

I tried the feature and I like it. The only confusion was about "Copy to my DropBox" button. It does only one-time snapshot of the shared area. I would expect to have live access to shared area through my local folder.

As of FeedBurner you should check FeedBurner status feed: http://feedburnerstatus.blogspot.com/2010/05/google-feedfetc... I can confirm I had really slow gmail yesterday. Works well today. I'm based in Prague / Central Europe

I think they can solve it when using Javascript SDK on modern browsers. IFRAME could be loaded offscreen and when it finishes then it does postMessage to notify the parent window. Javascript SDK injector then unhides the IFRAME. Easy to do,

Well it depends how you look at it. It definitely adds to network traffic and CPU load. But IFRAME content and javascript-injected IFRAME are both loaded asynchronously. Browsers are pretty good in progressive rendering of page content thes
