Also the Tyranids and Zerg are so close in concept it's not even funny. Still, you're right, there is no original art/thought etc. Ultimately our brains have a finite amount of possible states, so everything is a remix.

My bank in Germany offers a similar system - of course, there are limits to the security as well but there is no public infrastructure, radio transmission or an OS involved. Edit: I also don't need to make transactions often enough for

Maybe it's not so much that a human isn't to blame in the case of an algorithm classifying something incorrectly, but that an algorithm might make mistakes that a human wouldn't. I've read a very interesting article [0]

I don't understand how rejecting that the state of the universe is fundamentally computable is the same as rejecting the Church-Turing Thesis. Rejecting the computability of the universe's state is more fundamental: It rejects one

You could try to get into studying aerospace engineering in a nation with ties to ESA. I've seen students go straight into industry-related jobs from being good assistant researchers here (Germany) - of course there'd be the age g

I don't know exactly how the torches look, but I can imagine they have an indoor GPS setup in the stadium. Couple that with a position-dependent program that each torch has. The actual program can be started, paused or stopped using an

That is a very interesting idea - a kind of meta-ideological legislature for the management of markets. I wonder how such a system could be balanced properly, I can imagine it's difficult to do with little quantitative data on the alte

Don't you lose a lot of usable energy by not having any optics to shape the radiation? The phosphor surfaces will just diffusely glow. Of course, with an emitting area that big, you also need huge optics to control it properly
