I see it used very much for the wrong purposes though. It's a really mediocre database for example. It allows numbnuts to make really poorly designed stuff that then worms its way into critical business processes. Microsoft could have

I don't think that actually fixes the issue though. Perhaps there's some shared message queue that's blocking things? I don't know. I know I've had that on in the past and it didn't solve it.

Yeah it probably traces back to the time when Microsoft tied internet explorer into every part of the OS just so they wouldn't be forced to remove it. They're really bad at modernising legacy parts of the OS. Even to this day part

Again the concept of sport imposes human concepts on a hypothetical alien culture. There's no reason to assume their society would have developed along similar lines. I'm sure there's alien civilisations that are more aggress

Yeah this. And warehouse work is all appified and can be configured in any language. Any American working in an Amazon warehouse will be jumping at the chance to get out of there. So turnover would be really high. Same with delivery stuff,

We do a lot of business with them and we have workshops with them sometimes, and the one thing I notice is how they're all so evangelical. They wouldn't say a bad thing about their company. I couldn't be like that, when I wor

I couldn't imagine worshipping aliens even if they were powerful enough to be indistinguishable from gods. I also think that if such powerful aliens (or actual gods for that matter) were to exist, they wouldn't give a rat's a

This presumes they have the same nasty survival-of-the-fittest kill-or-be-killed attitude as humanity. Our evolution kinda created that but it doesn't have to apply everywhere. I think it's entirely possible that alien civilisatio

The Dutch IRS just doubled down on M365 though saying they couldn't find any alternative. Strange detail though is that they were not on a cloud service until now. It's a bit of a weird time to decide to migrate to a US cloud serv

The unresponsive thing is because the whole explorer.exe still seems to be one big single threaded process. One thing hanging kills everything. Including stuff completely unrelated to the file manager like the task bar. So weird.

Kavita was mainly designed as a comic reader, but it has recently invested a lot of time into epub quality of life features, I can recommend it. It already supported epub but lately it feels more like a first class citizen.
