While the motorcycle brand probably outsells the car brand by 1000x, the Indian/chineses market is big enough to also have a car model that sells millions upon millions of units.

What is this article even talking about. I don't have to know a single thing about cars or their economics to know clearly some Chinese or Indian brand I have never heard of and could not pronounce if I had is outselling the Tesla by 1

I think the problem is that it will likely be viewed as less destructive and used in cases where they would not have does a pit maneuver. Like a taser, in theory it is great to have a LESS lethal option than a gun, but if it is used in case

If NY is like some Toronto, I imagine traffic is so bad that vehicle chases dont really happen anywhere near the center/important parts of the city, which is why they are focusing on hand held devices.

Being on the run is not exactly the same thing as living in some 10 million dollar mansion in some non-extradition country. What would the feds be willing to pay for her? Snowden got asylum so some minor power could piss off and show up a g

A quick google search did not return anything, mainstream media does not cover stories like this, and I cannot remember where I read these stories. I know the last one I read was about a family suing the government to stop the euthanasia of

Yes, tho percentage is not a great way of interpolating the data since it has been 99% linear since its inception with a slope averaging 1.7k additional deaths per year.

As a Canadian I want to point out this article is quite misleading. The issue is far more systemic than this article claims. In Canada MAID is the 6th leading cause of death, and is rising so fast it is basically guaranteed to be the 3rd ca

Maybe, maybe not, but it has run out of medical funding and the MAID people publish yearly reports of how much money their survives have save the medical institution.

They dont need to know. Famously apple used to deny warranty claims if their moisture sensor tripped. All they will do if see if the internal PSU is melted and say you used a offbrand charger, and that is your fault.

I think part of the problem here is that github is banning all accounts he has access to. So even if he has a work and private account, both could still be banned. We dont know if they would escalate to a paid githut corporate account or no

Yes, but I was talking specifically about framing your perception in a specific way. Driving to work actually costs you something more like ~$30 in fuel and parking and ~$25 in owning the car ($55). Biking to work costs you $0 in fuel and p

I feel like such a huge part of the cost in a car is completely upfront and if these "low car" people calculated how much they are spending per km driven, they would have a stroke and sell the car.

I think this misunderstands the point of a budget. A budget is not primarily designed to develop a growing savings account, tho that is a very good side effect. A budget is designed so that when the rent becomes due on the 29th, or you are

You cannot out earn a spending habit. It will grow way faster than paycheck because it is nto held in check by reality. At most you cannot make more than the GDP of the Earth, while your spending habit can be arbitrarily high.

That works for you because nothing or anything would work for you. I am in the same boat, a budget would serve no purpose for me other than encouraging me to spend more. For the people who need a budget, they would just run out of money com

The problem with java is it needs a correctly installed, configured, and versions JVM installed to run the code. All the other languages will just spit out a exe that will just run if you click it. Java is the least cross platform language

I did want to say Rust was complicated, I meant to say it was complicated to learn. You never need to learn the Java syntax finalize, it is invisible until you have a problem where that is the solution. Similar to Java templates or overload

I feel like they are making languages too complicated. Most projects should just be garbage collected, most don't need to deal with pointers or anything advanced. We need variables, functions, conditionals, loops, exception handling, s
