Neat that jQuery gets so much. I guess they have a ton of stuff on jQuery still (and probably will forever).

Oh nice, nesting. I guess I'm a bit behind. With nesting and variables I can probably get rid of less in my projects.

Yeah I would want to better understand how they arrived at that statement. When I was in Xinjiang there were like 5-10 cameras at every intersection. Surely NYC isn't at that level?

Interesting, thanks. I imagine they will have a query planner for the query planner to determine to JIT or not :)

I think there's a difference between just being introverted and being bullied or excluded. I don't care of my child is an introvert. I do care of they want to make friends and can't.

Yeah, but nobody is seriously considering that unless maybe for huge prepared statements. The argument is usually bytecode vs parser and associated data structures.

I fear it will be difficult for me to do this and not make them social outcasts. Part of being a parent is also helping your kids fit in and be successful "socially". I think what you're doing is good. Hopefully enough parent

VPNs frequently get banned in China. I bought two major VPN services (nordvpn and one other) and they did not work when I got there. Luckily I had a backup VPN I host on Linode. It would randomly stop working though...

Powerful in terms of productivity. The occasional N+1 query problem here and there isn't a big issue for many projects and means you can launch 10x faster than someone using some other technologies. If you're successful, you can e

Thanks for the info. The issue is using EBS. If you used an instance with NVME drives it would probably have been faster than BQ (and you aren't billed per-query...). I would suggest an R or I4 class instance for this, m6 is not good f

Nice! I sent this to the guy that helped me convert NetPanzer (20+yo code base) from SCons to Meson and he also took the time to setup GH actions etc. Hopefully you get some help!

Usually the JSON gets transformed into a binary format (example: BSON).

The ID4's 0-60 is 7.something seconds. An early 2000s VW GTI ($3000?) with a mild tune is faster.

Screws have different thread and pitch sizes. An app won't read that correctly. You can get a tool to measure the size/thread/pitch. I have containers with lots of slots and I label each slot, so I have many dozens of types o

Jack Ma didn't just try to build wealth like your average mid sized software or HVAC company. He built a monopoly and the company was fined for it and eventually broken up [0]. He obviously didn't like this and left the country to

Well, with a manually managed language you have to do those things pretty much all the the time, but with a GC you can pick which parts are manually managed. Also I suspect this project isn't for holding hundreds of GB of stuff in memo

It doesn't seem like anyone is working on JS tooling in C++. Some projects used Go but switched to Rust... I guess the object lifetimes are probably pretty simple so it's a no brainer.

Specific hardware and software versions that you test first should be fine. They do the same thing with any other OS, so I'd hope they do that here.

Someday it would be really cool to execute NodeJS code in a sandbox with a timeout without having to throw the work at a subprocess.
