Yeah, that calculation is a bit bonkers, but the 6a is available for ~330 € and I'm pondering to buy one. My problem is usually the lack of security updates with phones in this price band (last year's model or whatever) but accord

How would it be illegal to have an outdated price with a big date of validity attached? Or are you pointing out there should be a year? Not trying to defend anything here, but that simply sounds unlikely and my example would be supermarket

I can't really prove it, but as far as environmental impact goes, single use wooden chopsticks are just so much nicer than wooden forks. They usually seem to make them in such a weird texture that my arm hairs go stand up if I lick a w

I do have a pair or two with grooves at the pointy end, but I wouldn't say for sure that it helps with the grip. They're lacquered wooden ones I brought from a SE asia trip, but not sure how common they are.

I actually thought about this a lot until I visited Singapore/Hong Kong. Just put the bowl to your mouth and drink the soup while shoveling the noodles - at first I thought I just saw some hurried people, but at least in food stalls an

At the peril of sounding like a classist rich asshole (not from America) it actually is like that though. If you go to a shop without marked prices in some country, you can either compare to an equivalent item at home, or to something from

There's a difference between "I can afford it", "I must haggle" and just outright trying to rip you off. The example I often quote was me, a blonde European, in Cuba, just walking down the street. Someone with a rik

Not too uncommon in Bavaria and Austria, if the restaurant (or especially beergarden) is quite full - the waiters will even sometimes just place you there or give you the option to leave, or wait. I wouldn't say I've seen it if th

Guess it depends on so many factors. I live in an 8 story building and I hardly see my neighbors, so unless we could car pool some days I couldn't care less if coworkers past and present I like or dislike are living next door. We have

Now I'm really wondering if they cut that from the German dubs, or if I didn't pay attention, or if I simply didn't watch enough episodes, or not in full.
