No police officer died. You’re being brain washed by going to the extremes. You’re proving my point. There is ZERO reason to station thousands of soldiers and barb wire fence around the “people’s building” all at the behest of politics.

Right. I think most people here don’t understand there’s more troops stationed and In full force in DC than in Baghdad, Iraq. All this for the “largest” insurrection with smiling grandmas taking pictures as if in a tour. Let’s stop the fake

Go on cnbc, cry about the world ending and being scared for your life and then buy up everything circa march. Also Buffet is old enough to have remembered other "pandemias" and times of volatility. He was there during the hong kon

I believe the mind of a 90 yo Buffet is not the same as the 30 yo Buffet. My general point being that even if he's aware and picks some number less than 5% inflation (which is debatable), sitting on a giant cash pile and getting fear p

Like every lion in the savanna, it must relinquish its reign at some point. Buffet talks pridefully about holding $250+ BILLION in cash, as if it were pegged to a gold standard. Nearly half his life was based on such a system, and so it’d b

Aren’t you making the point of the author? Most places don’t have a way to run in development because they haven’t sat down and gotten the application to a running state. Every year it gets ignored, things get harder and more tedious but ne

This is very limited thinking: smaller: Sears? That company will never go out of business! Look at it, it can borrow at any price it wants! Micro: Mike Tyson? He’s so rich and current heavy weight of the world! He can afford all the fancy c

So you’re effectively saying: “Went out to a swingers party with 10 people we know to be clean. Turns out Mandy and Joe weren’t being safe and transmitted to us ghonorrea and it’s terrible! I can’t believe the government let this happen!” D

There are... dozens of us! I always find it weird when a group purports to know what the price of cacao should be halfway across the world when they’ve never stepped on to a finca in Ecuador.

The people who have $10 Trillion in gold savings beg to differ. There is a growing market for loans using crypto as collateral. Using crypto to transact frees up the added financial costs required for charities, non profits , and regular bu

No such thing as “hoarding”. That’s just a low thought argument like calling everyone you disagree with a racist. Think of how many people’s retirement account owns Apple shares directly / indirectly. With Apple having $100b in cash, s

The "economy" is some number larger than (2^999999999999999999999999999999999) of decisions done at every second. Unless you or some cabal of godly beings exist they cannot determine whats a "good" equilibrium in the fir

I cannot tell if this is sarcasm or not. But I’ll assume it’s not: You cannot eat gold or bitcoin. The “hoarders” at some point will want to consume be it a pizza or a lambo. Then there’s those who invest in ways to get more... what for it.

Agreed, there is a perverse attitude where people jump into Python for the “it just works!” mentality, and hate the idea of type annotations.

The problem with this is something most Pythonistas don’t think about, the return type of the function. Officially it’s either a None or Int. But most people would just say Int. Will cause problems obv when not properly handled.
