Interesting. I am not sure whether there are any 'normal' compression techniques that actually create algorithms. That might be an interesting approach to normally compress data as well.

You could consider a LLM as a very lossy compression artifact. Where they took terabytes of input data, and ended up with model under the 100 gigabytes. It is quite remarkable what such a model can do, even fabricating new output that was n

Alternatively, I got my current house because of KYC laws. The house bidding was originally won by someone abroad. They overbid the house by a lot. However, because of the KYC laws, that person needed to proof their income is legitimate, wh

But people generally don't take airplanes for groceries or commuting. If you are going on holiday, you have a time budget for reaching that particular destination. With a car you would maybe choose places within a drive of 3 to 11 hour

Its actually very impressive when you consider that the Playstation has less than 5000 games overall. And Switch has around 4761 games listed on Wikipedia. Now Sony and Nintendo have nice exclusive games, but Steamdeck gained more supported

The ASML machines are modular and each generation gets new upgrades that pushes Moore’s law further. For example, with the previous generation, the Chinese SMCI modified the machines to be competitive with the newer chips from EUV machines.

Actually, Canon used to be the one of the main players, whereas ASML was the new kid on the block. It with new technologies and high reliability that made ASML win.

Shipment insurance is normally an optional add-on. IMO, if the shipper doesn’t get it, it is on them. It is nicer for the shipper to decide the value and pay the corresponding price for that. Because you need to know the replacement value o
