This is cool. When I was at IBM in Austin last week, one of the IBM-ers mentioned that one of the first areas they hoped to use Watson was primary care. Amazing. I think I'd rather go to Watson than most GP's.

Agreed in that I wouldn't take his request as a call to arms for making something that only applies in low-stakes situations. But his point about making weather accessible to consumer levels of expertise is spot on.

Weather is not a solved problem. Your vision in the solution space is just limited. We have some extremely talented people working on Stormpulse and the size of the underserved market is staggering. And yes, we have an iPad app launching t

I think your reasoning fails the real world test. Reasons Zappos' target customers use Zappos: vast selection, easy returns, no hauling your kids to the mall (this is HUGE), excellent customer service. I'd guess they could charge 5-10% ab

One word of caution--do not, I repeat do NOT, focus on price ("we are cheaper") as the main reason for people to use you. People who are "priced out" of other solutions still need to buy in to whatever you are doing, beyond price, or else

My question is: if you've built a function where f($1.00) = $1.25, why stop at $10K/month? What I'm really saying: if you stop at $10K/month, you haven't actually built that function.

Good luck finding deals off of Angel List, because those deals will be in companies run by very stupid entrepreneurs. If you’re an entrepreneur you’re going to embrace Angel List because that’s where the passionate, low-return driven money
