No data to back it up, but from my noob experience, it’s Ubuntu. Google any Linux issue and add Ubuntu as a search term and you have a higher probability of finding a solution. If you look at GitHub repos, they will almost always have Ubunt

It seems like using a web hosting service that provides one click Wordpress installs would solve most of your problems. Plus there is no lock in. You can export all the content and import it into another Wordpress instance pretty easily.

VPN, use the Tor Browser or what I’ve been doing recently: run debloated Windows 10 in a VM + VPN. If none of these work soon, I’m going to start firing up Windows instances on Azure or AWS and browse using them.
