i think balloon framing fell out of favor because 1. the length of timber required for two story structures is not efficient; old growth stuff has been felled and straight, seasoned, 24 and 36 foot lengths of wood are tough to find 2. and

Productivity cargo cult will never die. Enterprise is predicated on this; but let's take the obverse of this cynicism: there are jobs, and people in them. This serves its own purpose.

Ha, this is the bane of design. You don't need any particular expertise, you just have to like or dislike something. Product managers, you know who you are.

Glug, even talking about class is itself a class marker. Get new money and wait it out, or deal with it. Fortunes are made through malice

Thank you, but there’s hardly any point in arguing with a rock. You might be making great points, but at the end of the day, observers see a man talking to a rock. The rock may roll at some point, through forces beyond yourself

Yeah, that is a really bad take. Remind me again why women drop out of engineering teams. To frame this triggering statement, imagine if he had somehow used breasts to make the same analogy. He’d be in a heap of trouble, prob LIFO’d out of

Yes, _based on all current observations_ … which have missing areas where `G` fits nicely. Believe me, I get it. Facts, science, then imagination. Did you read the article, however? What she's mulling over is the idea of different grav

Isn’t it the case that for *any* arbitrary 30 year period of S&P, the worst you could do is 2x, and the best 1000x? And the mode something like 10x For 20 years it reduces where I think some periods could actually produce flat or slig
