I bought myself my first scope this summer and have been watching both Saturn, juipter and now mars on occasion as they've precessed across the evening sky. Same feelings for me, it's magical to observe first hand with analogue op

I mostly agree with all the above, but as a guitarist/singer* there is distinctly something about transposing songs - it is clearly obvious that most songs work best in their original keys and quite a number of times transposition comp

And, with respect, you missed one of my points, regarding the code . Sure websites are normal, but if you present me with the source and you wrote it (i.e. it's not just a wordpress site) and it's something worth looking at the

My point was regarding the following: - usually the first person to screen or introduce you won't be a developer or perhaps not even technical, so you've put yourself out of the running early on. I can query it, but many who might

I would recommend you don't do that. Nobody who is reviewing candidates has time to write a client to get your raw information out of a database. If you build the client, and a web page/app and also document how you did it and a

Thanks for the info, but I already have all of this part working. The problem is that v4l2loopback only provides a virtual _webcam_ (video source), not a virtual _screen_ - the two are different and are handled differently both by browsers

Using video loopback opens up some great creative possibilities for fun with video conferencing. There's one thing I'd love to achieve though, which seems not possible on Linux desktop (specifically kubuntu).... I want to be able

With midi data being 7-bit aren't you losing out on an awful lot of the available colour space? Or is it near enough to not really matter in this case?

Pull requests is not the only way to collaborate in a team. git also works with other tools for review and merging can be done by other means.

IMO the pursuit of, or even a concept of 'clean history' is a fallacy and waste of time. It is a level of obsession which I think is just not worth it. Furthermore, a commit log is not the same thing as release notes. More often t

I was (until earlier this year) on a dev team at a VFX house trying to implement a more agile production management system. The project ultimately failed, in large part because none of the show managers wanted to change how they do things.
