Can still remember I bought a book about SimCity 2000. I think it explained how you could rebuild real-life cities in SimCity. Pretty cool

Not sure, what you mean, but in a non-webview wrapper application everything but the UI code was already shared between platforms? At least in the apps that I worked on. State machines, fetching logic, app flows etc

Sounds like a webview loading a Next.js application wrapped in a Rust binary targeting iOS? For me, it always felt much more difficult to match the native ui behaviours in a web application that it defeats the time won. Especially, when you

For me, getting 100mbit+ or fibre would already be amazing. Can't even imagine how fast 10G would be.

I don't agree on the Blizzard stuff but in this instance I agree with what the US government is doing. Adobe is a stronger hold on the design tools market than any other company and Figma was good competition

Yes, but bonuses is not something you can depend on so as an employee you shouldn't include it to compare market parity in my opinion. But I am someone that never was never getting the employer's suggested bonuses (never the full

That’s why you should consider it an extra and not a given. They don’t really face a ‘reduction’ in my opinion.

What makes it to be called a right wing social platform? Because it doesn’t have the same stringent rules as Youtube which appear to be slated to be a particular political silo in the US?

Can’t read the article but does the US agreement cover the GDPR requirements or did I miss something and the UK dropped those? Vaguely read that they want to do that but don’t think it happened yet. Still a major step backward by Meta

Sometimes I wished Apple would make macOS available to other manufacturers or able to buy it as a customer. I would be happy to pay $200+ to get a license of for it on a non-Apple hardware.

In my opinion if you go open office everyone should go open office even the bosses. A previous company did this. Often you would sit next to the CEO in the open office

Sounds like a good idea from a compliance and risk side of things to require a particular comms platform. If I had to choose I would pick Teams over Google Chat though

Personally, I am looking forward to switch to a monorepo as it makes things a lot easier. Makes testing a lot easier when you don’t need to deal with 70 repositories to test something. Also it’s easier to ensure dependencies such as API lib

Can imagine this will be really useful for the helpdesk scammers that get more and more banned by similar commercial providers

Do you also embed Fastpring into the your site? I think Stripe allows you to do that

Sounds more like a switch of domination at the iOS platform from Webkit to Chromium. Personally, I am really happy with Safari but I am not convinced Firefox make a big dent.

Starting to look promising. Work projects not working yet due to the need of `dgram` and `async_hooks`. Would leveraging `async_hooks` be possible in the future with the used non-v8 engine or would there be some alternative?
