v-directives are just a bridge for old angular.js developers to jsx and render functions. Vue supports both.

Node.js and express.js are server side. Use them for your API. It's pretty simple to grok if the docs are read. The docs for both are pretty good. On the client side, I personally use vue.js + webpack. It works for me. With the nicely

I come from the planet where Uber is currently: - Hemorrhaging cash like a hemophiliac taking blood thinners - Embroiled in various legal battles - Losing labor market share to Lyft - Losing customer market share to Lyft - Failing to push l

Seems like a horrible submarine article. "Oh look! Uber did $Thing! Get in on it now or miss out like a loser!" Like, honestly? This is it? Uber, the "behemoth" who failed to crush the taxi industry as promised, is now s

Would disagree. HN is critical in the sense that people actually debate a significant amount of the time instead of replying with memes. Calling spades what they are isn't, in my opinion, equivalent to being needlessly critical. As for

I don't get that impression at all. Vue, in my opinion, is purely a React competitor. It's not the new Angular. AngularJS was basically the only game in town for a while. React is more popular than Vue, current. And it has Faceboo

I would say that Vue's core libraries are very well put together. Vuex, Vue-router, vue-resource, vue-axios, etc are all simple and easy to use. Personally, I wouldn't say either community has better supporting libs than the other

No, it is not. But my point was that client-side javascript environments are not congruent in their support for all language features. Writing a boatload of async/await, object-spread, etc. code on the client and not transpiling is ask

Server side at least. Not exactly confident that say, a vue-webpack site with no transpilation will play nicely with everyone's browsers.

Not the parent commenter, but could you explain why? AT my work we're setting up a large deployment and I'm planning on configuring fail2ban on all our instances. Is there any downside to doing so that I'm missing?

Fair point and good analogy. While I can't comment on the neurotoxicity, I will definitely say MDA itself has a more LSD like effect than MDMA does and contributes significantly to differing effects.
