A quick glance at the documentation showed that you can write plug-ins to do such things as listening to all state changes (unless I misunderstood something). See the logging plugin example. Without a Chrome dev tools extension though I don

Me? Offended? By a lowly computer no less?? No way! You're the one that responded to my original post with accusations of strawmen bud :-) I guess we cemented that sucker in pretty good now though eh?

It's really not though. Can you yourself replace the battery or the SSD? If not, it's irreplaceable for all intents and purposes. Enjoy waiting for your work tool which puts food on the table while it's in the shop I guess. M

Every time I read one of these reviews it makes me so glad to be using a desktop PC with Manjaro. Things I need to do just all work for me, no surprise limitations, no worrying about how long an irreplaceable battery or SSD will last and no

Every system requires setup, but only Linux systems will remain exactly as you have set them up year after year, if you wish. During the last 2 years, out of all the Linux, Mac and Windows systems in my house - the Macs have been the only s

Are macs still shipping with severely outdated CLI tools? 10 years ago, Mac users just got the ability to resize a window by any edge or corner... How's that really good window management system working out for ya? It's shocking

For offline apps, WebSQL would have been awesome. Thanks to some ivory tower types at Mozilla we can't have it [1]. We got SQLite in a computer on Mars but apparently that's not enough to base a web standard around because some pe

Clearly that's incorrect though. We're only seeing legalization of socially acceptable drugs. Tech has nothing to do with it. Nobody is fighting for meth, cocaine and heroine to become legal in the US. We also have plenty of prost

Bad laws were the problem, caused by societal pearl clutching. The prohibition of alcohol was solved by repealing it, not by cars and machine guns. If cars and machine guns solved prohibition, then no substance would have ever been prohibit

I'm an expert in paranoia. You should not be concerned if there's nothing you can do about it. If you think you can do something, focus on that instead. In any case, don't be too concerned.

I guess people who want to avoid paying will start packing more frames into a file now? I wonder if there's a limit to how many things you can put into one file... (EDIT: Someone mentioned it below - you're limited to 3 "page

Legally, you can run macOS anywhere you want. Apple cannot and has not stopped anyone from doing that. There is no court of law anywhere which will prevent an end-user from doing what they want with macOS. However, you most certainly are pa
