I can tell you as someone sells SaaS that I prefer rent because it allows me to serve my customers more effectively, meaning they get more value and Iget more money. This isn't glib doublespeak. There's probably a better way to ar

They tried/are trying those things because they believe there's a non-zero probability of success. Belief in success being a possible outcome is pretty fundamental to accomplishing any goal or strategy in general.

My 2 cents to add is please use this sparingly unless you're intentionally being humorous. When altering what would normally be reality, less is much, much more. I've gone to a couple online networking events recently and there&#x

This doesnt surprise me in the least. Their online shopping platform is a joke. I've had multiple bad experiences, and I'll give you one as an example. I ordered an XLR cable from their website and went to pick it up at the store

I used Gimp every so often over the past few years and always loved it... until just about a month ago when I finally tried photoshop for the first time. I really don't like Adobe, but photoshop just blows gimp out of the water. anythi

If you have the Affirm app on your phone it isn't too surprising! They have a full e-commerce platform setup with numerous brands. I've used Affirm for years to help build my credit with 0 APR and I'm a very happy customer. E

Fine, but at least have the courtesy to communicate this to your users. When you publish open source, people don't want to fork and compete with you, partly out of laziness, sure, but also because it's just really bad manners. I

Courts can and do make new laws and undo laws all the time. Whether or not they should is another matter entirely, but it is well within the court's power to reinterpret laws quite liberally.

I'm at a loss for what you're suggesting here or what your point is. No consumer is going to buy meat flavored rice cakes, and standard plant-based meat has as much protein as animal meat.

When I worked at Google I heard AGPL called the "fuck google license" for this reason. There do exist licenses which restrict certain business models, but I agree there could probably be even more work around improving it

Two of my favorite things about GraphQL are: - It has a well-defined pattern/structure so you don't have to waste a bunch of time thinking/arguing about what your REST endpoints look like. - It lends itself very nicely to aut

Probably more of a price in terms of favors and relationships than money. e.g. If a mob could somehow bust you out then you belong to them for some percent of the prison time. Just a guess though.
