If you give it a reward for not mentioning the bridge or announce severe punishment for mentioning it, and then tell it to evaluate itself while writing, it will suffer a lot on some topics. Topics far away from bridges it will still answer

I'm quite confused. I learned 20+ years ago that lead poisining from the wine was the cause, or at least the suspected cause of Beethovens deafness. It's great that they found lead in his hair (again?), but thoroughly weird that t

GPT-4o is available for me on ChatGPT, with the text+attachment input (as a Plus user from Germany). It's crazy fast. The voice for the audio conversation in the app is still the old one, and doesn't let you interrupt it.

Gone are the days of copy-pasting to/from ChatGPT all the time, now you just share your screen. That's a fantastic feature, in how much friction that removes. But what an absolute privacy nightmare. With ChatGPT having a very simp

Another curious data point: id =40000000 is up in a few hours. I thought it would be fun to try to make a submission pointing to that id, while trying to get that id right when it’s up. But it’s too late to start hacking on a script; I’m ra

ffmpeg updates their API very liberally, even in minor version bumps. Combine that with many packages depending on ffmpeg doesn't make it very easy to always have the latest ffmpeg version. They are working on it though: https:/&

For some reason the GUI is not showing up for me in 3DGS.cpp. (I checked out the repo, made a build folder and built with Ninja, then launched ./apps/viewer/vulkan_splatting_viewer). I still have a VulkanSplatting build from

I was thoroughly confused reading the Dada Manifesto[0], starting with the non-existent German meanings of the word dada and getting much stranger from there. Until I found out at the very bottom that it's a riff on a 1916 dada manifes
