That would be great, as long as the employee is motivated and smart enough to do great work, else it would be difficult for the manager to gauge employee's quality of contribution.

Thanks for the insight, especially about the junior position at LinkedIn. I am an engineer who has run a start up previously in recruiting space and looking for product roles at LinkedIn. Is there a way i can reach out with few questions?

I checked the traffic for the mentioned website on Simlarweb and it is around 750,000 in Nov and 650,000 in Oct, so yeah, considering this is all US traffic, if he had put advts in the right places, these earnings are not really difficult t

Every single day? May be you should come out and meet more people, just saying. Again, you might come across certain incidents where this might be true and there are cases, where they are more educated than an average American and get paid

True. Humans definitely will find a way to figure out what to do next if AI takes away lot of jobs. But the important thing is that the rate of which these jobs go. With the recent advances in deep learning or AI in general, the rate of los

I understand the recent security failures of Yahoo must have weakened the company brand name to certain extent, but it's a 2 decade old web company almost every know off, not sure what made the decision in favor of the new name.

This is the exact reason i didn't switch to a pro yet. I love dropbox and all the syncing, but give me a plan below $5 with a relative storage. Google Drive gives 100GB at $2, that would be an amazing start for Dropbox.

I don't think a govt would have any position on this. The law enforcement agencies are actively working on tracking and finding out these people which is how this came into limelight.

Exactly. The use cases and target audience are different. I use my echo dot for playing songs, switch off lights and add random alarm/timer etc. The future not might be voice only, but it will definitely voice intensive.

Google opened up the assistant platform where you can create 'Actions' similar to skills on Amazon. It's only a matter of time, Google Assistant supersedes in 3rd party integrations.

This wouldn't work unless the employer we are talking about is a software/tech company where they can hire remote/setup a office with very less money. On the other side, people who work on industries which are located on cert

But that's the job of the investors, they don't try to hit the returns with every idea. What they look is a capable team who can pivot if that's what it takes to make a compelling product used by millions.

I have no formal data, but salaries in general are mostly about the demand for certain skill set. In the US, there are more tech companies which are fighting for the talent than it's in UK. Also, 100K entry level is norm only in NY and

Forget about this article and consider the video metrics they inflated. They counted a 3 sec play as a video view and that's a big thing. 4 out of 220 is still a big number for a big company such as FB to be wrong at.

I have some friends on H1B who work there and also other top tech companies, trust me there's no discrimination in salary. With the extra legal fee, i think it's a burden for them to have people on temp visas.
