People will tell you only lonely people think that way, but I think office socialization is a different kind of thing. At the office you meet and chat with people of all ages and different types. When you're with friends, you're p

Yeah! I had it on a personal domain for $12 for a year or two, then I went and joined the Army on a whim and cut all my subscriptions, but now I'm in a place where I want cloud storage again and can't find any good options. I thin

That’s interesting, I don’t think I’d ever heard about that before! Do you find there are lots of things you can’t find on Apple Music or Spotify nowadays? I guess I’m just not the type to really listen to a bunch of rare recordings, but ma

Possibly, but for some reason I had the impression they were doing away with grandfathered plans too. Because my old google apps (free) account was force upgraded to workspaces maybe. I think I had read you can request additional storage w

I thought they did away with unlimited? Is that not the case? I have a google domain but stopped paying two years ago for other reasons, and recently when I looked into getting workspace again it sounded like you can’t get unlimited storage

I wish I could meet that guy and befriend him or her :). These are the people I would love to chat with. Sadly, I’m not a member of redacted. Maybe I should try to get in.

I feel Spotify recommendations are pretty good for my account, but homogenous. They tend to stick the same type of music I’ve been listening to recently and it gets bland after a while.

I spent many nights browsing what.cd and building up my collection in the early days. Somewhat off-topic , but I just posted this question on HN which is sort of related - how did early streaming sites build up their collections? Maybe the

I’m just guessing, but maybe Elon really loves Twitter . Building a new platform wouldn’t allow him to rescue the thing he loves. Seems more like an emotional decision than a logical one.

I like watching TV quietly, so others are not disturbed. Also, I absorb information better when I read it. Both reasons why I like subtitles, and I suspect many others do as well. I have no issues with my hearing. I don't like large su

Worth noting that Home Assistant OS + the official and community add-ons make managing all this very easy. I haven't used it long, since I just moved over from a docker-compose based installation; but, it seems like it makes managing d

My mom was 35 when I was born, and that was over 30 years ago. I think my grandmother was 39 when my dad was born, and that was over 70 years ago. There's still a possibility for conception unless you didn't explain in your post.

I think OP is referring to finding software-engineering related design discussions surrounding tagging systems, but yes, I’m sure there is a great depth of ontology material and librarian knowledge that could add to software system designs.

I can compare with the built-in keyboard/trackpad for my laptop or with wired hardware. Which I assume all have zero latency. So I think I'd notice if there was significant latency on any of my bluetooth devices...

Idk. Apple search APIs seem slower than competitors often; my non-tech family members have made similar comments to me about Apple Music and Apple TV+ being slower than Netflix (or Prime) / Spotify.

When you have a bunch of tethered bulky musical gear around, a wireless keyboard is really nice since you can move it around easily, stick it beside something, on a side table, etc. I'd argue it's more useful in that case than whe
