This article was published yesterday, before Senate deliberations started. I watched the progress on C-Span all day today. Republicans were for it in word, Reid wanted more restrictions (opposite of article). My analysis suggests strong bip

Here's the full length version of the Act that passed today in the House. It was submitted on Feb. 26th. http://docs.house.gov/billsthisweek/20120305/CPRT-112-HPRT-R...

The most recent House version that came up for vote on Feb 26th is using changes that came as feedback from the setup (basically). Of course the Senate will agree with their own suggestions and Obama's got everthing to gain for supporting a

It will if/when this passes. It's not passed yet, article is wrong. But it should if you know the nuances (working on a blog post now). Basically, you'll be able to invest up to 10% of your income or up to $10k, whichever is less. Startups

Absolutely. The House and Senate are agreeing on the major terms of the law, basically working from the same version. The House passed the Senate's suggestions. The Senate will agree with their own wording, so this should pass. Everybody's

Agreed... It is based on the format of a BPC. The guys writing the checks are old school, old money ;) I've talked to them about next year incorporating Lean Methodology. Executive Director is open to it, but for now, they're off and runnin

Cool. Are you coming to the Pitch Bootcamp next Wednesday? It's not announced yet, but we're also going to host an Executive Summary workshop the Monday before the Arch Grants deadline.

Hi Tazzy, funny, I moved from NYC to STL about a year ago. I know what you mean. My take has been to mimic the entrepreneur community infrastructure represented by an NYC on a smaller scale here. Building community here has been my biggest

I think they'll provide some grants to companies in town, but it is primarily (as I understand) meant to attract from outside.

There's a growing contingent in the city, too. I know a lot of folks in the Cherokee neighborhood, including the dev group Able Few and across the street in Nebula, the coworking space. That's where I am on the weekend ;) I live downtown, b

We do have the semblance of a startup community. It's very nacent, but hopefully this attracts more people. Anyone interested in hearing what's going on here, let me know. It's not overwhelming, but there's more than most people realize.

Yeah, what's key here is that there's more going on then just AG. I'm working with a group to launch a Founder Institute chapter here, for example. And we're working hand-in-hand with AG and a new seed fund that's popped up in the last year
