Sure 20 people could be lying. It's unlikely, and they have no motive really. They were paid for their work already. He's the one trying to profit from their work.

I'm in the same boat with Elixir. I love many aspects of the language, but it borrows the fast-and-loose type ecosystem of ruby. nil is an especially big problem. Any value could be nil, and this will absolutely bite you over and over.

I disagree that it’s lazy programming, it’s actually a hard problem. If you’ve ever played an online game you know that people deliberately try to work around profanity filters by removing spaces or swapping some characters. It’s easier to

The wii is probably not as good as you remember. I don’t know the technical terms, but the original controller didn’t actually do 1:1 tracking. Someone smarter than me explains here: https://web.cs.ucdavis.edu/~okreylos/

That's a great question. I think it was just a fad. There weren't enough really good game ideas to carry it forward.

The other thing about mono->stereo and monochrome->color is that they were backwards compatible. And even when creators adopted the new style, they didn't fundamentally change what they were doing. With VR, the majority of popula

It's very popular right now, but it's really hard to tell if it's just a fad. Motion controls had a huge wave of popularity starting with the Wii, but that died off. It will be interesting to see.

I'm not a Beatles scholar, but trying to point the finger at a specific person seems really silly. They broke up for the same reason most bands break up: they grew up. They got together when they were young, and after 10 years, their a

My beef with TVs these days is that they have no buttons. I’ve got little kids, the remote simply doesn’t stay in one place. Both of the TVs I currently own have one button on them. Why? Just give me some volume and input switching buttons

As a huge fan of From Software games, I don’t bother with the character quests. They are incredibly obtuse. You can ignore them entirely and still enjoy the main experience. Exploration and combat is what really counts for me.
