Where is that? My parents lived in North County and paid 13k+ a year on a $350k house. Their current place in Tampa is about 400k and the taxes are less than half of what they were in NY. Maybe Florida is a special case?

You could try that. But I’m unsure how much that would move the needle in this particular case. It’s too easy to slip up when your only defense is a walled garden. And with wireless controllers and load balancers on the list, that’ll be tri

I helped maintain a VMWare infra backed with CoRAID’s ATA over Ethernet tech. It worked fairly well at the time. I want to say it was ZFS on Solaris. Performance could have been a bit better, but this was back when 128gb enterprise SSDs wer

Do you have use cases in mind? Unfortunately, you’re not going to get long range without more interference. Which makes it hard to deploy with any sort of density.

There was a time when this would work. But as we've seen with high profile taken downs, the folks like those at Chainalysis make it incredibly hard to obfuscate with any degree of certainty.

Not quite. Many spices do well in a fry pan with a bit of oil. Throw in something like onions when spices become fragrant. My go-to method for most anything Mexican or South Asian.

Right, that's likely doable on the same ISP, even 3k miles away. It does highlight a philosophical question I raised in another comment. What exactly are consumers purchasing from last mile ISPs? Is it 1Gb to anywhere on the providers

I agree, but there still need to be constraints. For instance, if I have a 1Gb symmetrical connection, it's probably still unreasonable for me to expect 1Gb connecting to my buddy's 1Gb 3k miles away.

Exactly this. To say that Netflix is generating traffic pointed at SK broadband would not be fair. Those TCP connections are initiated by the end user. Without the user requests there would be no traffic. So the philosophical question reall

I may be in a niche scenario. But I do welcome some sort of restriction. On a large campus network running PIM sparse with 10kish Apple devices, multicast chews up a fair amount of CPU resources on network devices. Not sure if this is the s
