I strongly disagree. Making many async service calls concurrently and awaiting the result is the text book use case for node.js (well, event based programming in general).

IMHO, the core piece is that supporting a language is very, very expensive: tooling, CI, linting--especially standards. Many of things that ensure quality are not language agnostic. It's not about learning a language, it's about m

Need to be careful with the non-linux releases. They sometimes have subtly different hardware (e.g., ralink wifi instead of intel).

Slack calls have been broken in linux for a while--even though they worked when calling first launched. Is a fix for that on the horizon?

We do this by checking a `kubernetes.yaml` in with the source code. That way it gets bundled with the image as part of a Jenkins build. Deployment is just a docker pull, extract kubernetes.yaml, and kubectl patch.

At one point I had memorized the corner cases* of `this` for the pointless reason of stumping people who thought they knew it. The only thing it really taught me was to avoid it. *My favorite is "what does `this` point to when running

I don't doubt that you make code 10x to 1000x faster, but could this be selection bias? I.e., you are focusing on the code that is slow and not the code that the compiler has already had substantial impact on?

My only advice is to not worry too much about it. One of the first things a new dev needs to learn is how to separate critique of the wok from critique of them as an individual. IMHO, code reviews should be clear and concise. They aren'

I think something might not be working. The very first thing I noticed as a pack of 10 CR2032 batteries for $75 when there is also a pack of 5 for $5. Along with other ridiculous prices, like $40 for a standard tape measure.

The animation, yes, but not the trigger. You can balance this by adding / removing classes in javascript (to limit the complexity in CSS) and with the class performing the animation.
