Thanks for the comment. I'm not advocating pacifism, just non-attachment. So where various "anti-complexity" activities do this, I think they are in the right place. Civboot.org is itself a project which I see as the ultimate

"spending time" in an airport costs me nothing. I plug into my laptop and work on personal coding projects. Or read a book. Or relax. It sounds like Umesh needs to adopt some new perspectives, so maybe "If you have all sorts

I feel like they missed the primary point which is that E2E encryption is the primary thing protecting everyone from hackers/criminals/other-governments. Without it the criminals WILL have access to your systems and data and then

Forth itself is far more amazing considering the time period it was made. Chuck created self hosting OS's on KiB of ram, allowing an iterative development cycle when most OS's ran on computers the size of a refrigerator

The problem is always, and has always been, wanting things. Desire and our compulsive need to split the world into concepts that can be the aims of our desire. Not saying it's not a fun game, but if you take it too seriously you'r

It would work differently. Libre office would think it was accessing a local file, but really it would be whatever the JavaScript tells it exists. So you might be able to implement a rudimentary online doc and storage system using this if y

I would certainly hope so. FPGAs are also asynchronous (clock signals are optional, you can do pure discrete logic)

That's good to hear. I'll just pull all my investments from my goat farm and civboot.org and put it all in block paper then. Thanks for making everything so much easier!

What about the collapse of civilization or the apocalypse? How much will block paper be worth if all law, order and economies break down?

But if it takes more cycles to calculate the output than input it into the system, wouldn't you have a problem? Others mentioned that they each have their own ring oscillator and that makes more sense. There is no _central_ clock, and

Right, hence why fngi is "in it's spirit." Although... you can do anything in FORTH with sufficient knowledge of the interpreter, even write C syntax which gets compiled to forth-like words inline, so I'm not really sure

How do the chips not have clocks? I really like the design of the chips only communicating with neighbors. I love GreenArray and everything about Chuck Moore and associates. I definitely think it can be taken too far though, FORTH could use

Would love your thoughts on github.com/civboot/fngi and http://civboot.org . A set of rather radical PL requirements :)

Urine is not sterile. Neither is blood, tears, ocean water, well water, or anything that isn't 5% bleach or similar. Still no need to get angry about peeing in the ocean off of a boat.

I both like and dislike the "immediate inline" nature. I guess it depends on what you're using it for. It's great when the output is small, but I just imagine folks using it to generate enourmous classes or such inline,

No, the king has minor advantage in the center by supporting the center pawns. Nakamura's bong cloud "Speedrun" to 3000 is genuinely entertaining. Init he uses e3 instead of e4 due to it being "less terrible."
