I wonder if part of this is due to dust. My understanding is that at these prices you don't really want to split a coin for a $.25. As a result it's poor for micro payments and daily macro payments alike.

I'm glad we cleared the air on that. Now we can go back to using the service without all the stupid conspiracy theories that they do this. Surveillance is the norm in China. They do the same thing with IP from foreign firms [1]. 1 - h

Thank you. I remembe having to balance a B-Tree in my DB final. 5 nodes deep. Had to show all of the work. I think it ended up with 20 some revisions based on all the insert and delete statements.

It probably has to do with being German. The US produces alot of tech that the rest of the world knows, due to PR. Germany. Well, they move quietly. Then BAM! ArangoDB in Poland!

I upvoted you. You raise a good example. To the same simile, if you care about use, freedom and reasonableness, you'd pick Android. So too anything other than Mongo. That's what I don't get, why would anyone want to invest in

You can do that with Arango. Equally quick. Equally dirty. Doesn't require a prod version with 3 nodes just to make sure, hand to God, no data is lost.

I don't get it. I don't get it. I don't get it. 1) Mongo is not better than Postgresql JSONB and other Postgresql features, especially in 10. 2) There was NEVER a Mongo cluster management tool named Sheriff Bart! It litterall

Two things: 1) Google shouldn't have free speech since it is not a person. 2) The reason things get enshrined in the Constitution is to limit the ability of the government to get rid of it. The UK's non-constitutional, constitutio

Not fully. The problem is the network effect. Look at the Arab Spring. "Everyone should have access to Twitter due to freedom". Now we see the other side of speech and run away.

I do support anti-monopolist policies. My favorite president is Teddy. The very fact that we are discussing the enterprise limiting speech does show it's arguable. I say it should be argued. Further, I say that comments such as yours,

They are increasingly a major conduit for speech. Isolating people from Twitter isolates them from their inherent right to speech. This does two things a) sets precedence for future speech limitations and b) makes it harder for us to track

Unfortunately, you'll see the American ideal of free speech quickly purged from the Internet as American companies shed their nationalism for profit. The EU does not hold speech as dear as the US. As the EU gains more power, they'

What you list were solved by two things: the US providing the EU a military during the cold war and the fact that most of Europe was centered around dense cities since the Middle Ages. You can't make high speed rail with stops in the U

You're not wrong. I'm sure there are points to debate, but the US does provide a free military to the EU. https://www.cato.org/blog/us-taxpayer-subsidies-european-wel...

Germany has 200 private insurance companies. They cover the state mandated minimum. You can get better coverage over the base price if you want. Many Scandinavian countries have cohorts or risk pools that are not the whole country. You pay

An interesting idea is that mine, unlike that defined in the link, is defined by force of the individual first and foremost. My dogs and cats all have a sense of mine. They own things. They keep things from one another to the point of force

Which is a fair, but statistically insignificant point. We had a lot of uninsured that could have afforded insurance without government aid. Now we have to get aid to afford anything.

Before the ACA a family of 4 could get health insurance from the private market for 350 a month or 4200 a year and it's tax deductible. In Germany, a family of 4 making 75k$ a year pay 7.5% or 5,625$. The US system was cheaper and comp

This is where I'd love to see rappers that care about their community out there money. Increase public defender funds. So many predominantly black folk go to jail because they lack the resources to fight the corrupt system.

The just is FB added a clause that if you sue them and use their stuff, you immediately lose the license. So they could counter sue for breach of contract.

IBM workflow was surprisingly well thought out. You could model fluid flows through humans and services. Had a good deployment model I that the flows were scripts unlike IBM WPS 7 which had them embedded in EARs.

Make sure that your builder knows how to protect spray foam. Otherwise you're putting a massive fire hazard in the walls. The reason I advocate against spray foam is that contractors are terrible on the whole. They do the bare minimum.

Isn't ozone worse than traditional pollution and the main byproduct of electrical cars? So unless we go into a draconian charge laws, will cause more harm in this regard. http://www.iop.org/news/11/april/
