How does a minimum wage argument relate to systemic discrimination? Inject more persons into a workforce increases supply and depresses wages, it doesn't inflate hourly costs.

I think it's common in communist leaning circles in general. I've talked with a few of the fine folks of anti-fa on twitter, who express similar views. I think it makes sense in the context of the worldview. After all, why let one

I'd actually bet the opposite. I think if you only gave people one vote, it's pretty much guaranteed that you'd see 3 then 2 for popularity. More options without introducing rank would be the greatest gift you could give UKIP

I wonder if this is just a lack of knowledge on how to survive while poor. I'm in a good economic position compared to most of the US and certainly most of the world, but I can't see myself having much of an issue with this. Growi

Can we not assume bad faith on behalf of other commenters? I've heard similar things from a grandparent, an older science teacher, and a CS prof I knew well. Everyone knows that science reporting is in a terrible state today, but I hon

So if I fill out the paperwork in advance Microsoft won't ruin my night? How generous of them. I'm really glad that linux gaming is increasing year over year, because gaming is about the only reason I still use windows at home.

Man, I wish I needed 100g of protein a day. I try to be very conservative on my intake, and I still need 142g minimum at 180 pounds.

As funny as this anecdote is, the real issue was that it caused a couple of cases of permanent sterility so the scientists were forced to abandon the study. The whole thing is annoying because I've now seen the whole "lol boys can
