It's bare minimum. It's "not-right". You don't normally call someone leftist for just saying "people should have access to healthcare without going bankrupt".

I don't want to save the audio. I want to save the voice model so I can use it for many different texts, for consistency.

Even if all major provides close down, it doesn't remove what's already out there. Glm / minimax / deepseek / gpt-oss may not be at the same level as current frontier, but you can download them and they're stil

I can't quite figure this out: Can you save a generated voice for reuse later? The mlx-audio I looked at seems to take the text itself in every interface and doesn't expose it as a separate object. (I can dive deeper, but wanted t

Are there other services doing whitelabel video sites? (Apart from porn, I'm sure there is a few) I only know of Floatplane providing whitelabel for William Osman's sauceplus.com recently.

It's quite silly how people talk about the "left" in the US. There's barely any left present in politics. Much less "far/extreme left" or anything close to that. Nobody is really fighting for UBI, national

Reminds me of many years ago when people were fascinated by the discussion about whether closures are objects or objects are closures. Yes... Yes they are.

It's still on Valve though. They chose to delegate this and H1 basically becomes their voice here. I wish it was made more clear, but I don't think it's wrong.

In other words, this website uses headings for sections, doesn't ramble, and has a single line of emphasis where you'd expect it. I wonder what style we'll have to adopt soon to avoid LLM witchhunt - live stream of consciousn

I'm really confused by the sandbox part. The description kind of mentions it and the limited system syscall, but then just pivots to talking about the exit handlers. It may be just unclear writing, but now I'm suspicious of the wh

Not everyone wants to run their own infra. But at least Forgejo works on the distributed network of projects, so in the future it should be easy to migrate if needed.

One day Facebook used open XMPP so you could chat across networks. It does not anymore. Why would we expect AP integration to survive? Also due to large amount of spam, many instances don't federate with Threads.

Actual lightweight isolated processes? The docs are pretty vague about what the windows containers are and they still indicate that both Hyper-V and a chosen kernel is used - so that smells like a VM. Also, available only in windows 10 pro

It was a very long time ago, but during a programming competition one of the warm-up questions was something to do with a modified sudoku puzzle. The naive algorithmic solution was too slow, the fancy algorithm took quite a bit of effort...
