When I saw the headline, I thought it would be a neat article. Then when seeing the first data representation snippet, I thought "OK cool, that's what you conceptually have". Then I realized that it was the actual data repr

That would depend on the implementation. But it doesn't really matter, no one should be using atoi.

If you're interested in persistent data structures for C++, then I highly recommend Immer. High quality and easy to work with. https://github.com/arximboldi/immer

What a weird comment. What would be the point of "admitting" something that is an obvious fact? std::format, being a function for string formatting, is already part of the C++ standard library and can do some of its error checki

Bit of a weird take. Are you experiencing a lot of problems with "fan edits" of books that are old enough to be in the public domain?

Here's another [1] project that does VGA output from an RP2040 (the project also includes some game). There's also some support for VGA in the pico_extras [2] repo. [1] https://kilograham.github.io/rp2040-doom/

There's also RP2040 Doom which managed to get doom running on the RP2040, complete with sound, music and networking over I2C. The VGA signal is generated by a PIO state machine on the RP2040. https://kilograham.github.io

If this is applied to programming, then just be aware that "doing the simplest thing that can possibly work" integrated over time typically won't result in anything good. For any given task, the simplest thing that can possib

I had a very similar experience with Pragmata Pro. I kept coming back to the page and eventually just forked out the money for it. I adore that font and I've been using it for going on 8 years. This is not a this font vs. that font com

It depends on what we mean when we say "Chrome". When the chrome binary is built for ChromeOS, it includes a shell called "ash". It's got a window manager, virtual desks, app launcher, login screen and more. The fac

Note that a decent amount of these are ChromeOS specific. The whole visual UI is orchestrated by the "chrome" binary.

Sure, Apple's got the superior ARM silicon. But an alternative take is that this SoC is plenty fast for non-poweruser desktop use (which should be the majority of users). You don't need top shelf performance for browsing the web

I love it. These set pieces are like wonderful dioramas you can walk into. CoD Black Ops Cold War (2020) had a bunch of these and my favorite was where you infiltrate the KGB headquarters. So much detail and so much to look at. Take it for

Whether this thing is worthy of the label of "intelligent" or not is fairly uninteresting. What matters for something like this is its accuracy and if it can be trusted - that is what I think OP is getting at.

The average Googler doesn't get to pick the OS that their workstation runs. It's going to be Linux. The typical work setup is a browser, some kind of editor and terminals - which is something that works well in Linux.
