This looks nice. I've also heard many recommendations for the book Programming Collective Intelligence[1], which touches the same subjects and also has examples in Python. Now I'm tempted to read both :) [1]: http://sho

This is very cool. TileMill ( https://github.com/mapbox/tilemill ) is also one of the most amazing open source web apps I've seen for a while.

How is uploading source code to a cloud IDE different than using a hosted VCS like GitHub or Bitbucket, which is also increasing in popularity? Also the people who are deploying to Azure are already trusting Microsoft with their source code

Nice to see lots of interest in the survey! We set this up with a friend of mine because we did not find much existing data about this subject. We'll keep it open for the rest of week and provide the results and analysis next week.

Note that you don't have to use the classes like "col-lg-4" in Bootstrap either. You can use your own classes and build the grid with .make-row() and .make-lg-column() mixins instead. (See http://getbootstrap.com&#

It feels a lot like Backbone.js. However when building a large application with Backbone, by time lots of things need to be added on top of it: i18n, caching, paged loading of collections, queues... Looks like hr.js includes most of these t

Nowadays I measure acquisitions in Instagrams. At $7.2B Nokia cost Microsoft ~7 Instagrams. That sounds crazy when you think that Instagram had 13 employees, compared to 30000 employees moving to Microsoft from Nokia.
