I'm not sure how to interpret 'the vast majority of drugs' as it is a pretty broad brush including everything from over the counter itch creams to genetically engineered cell therapies. For the subset of "cancer therapy

HHMI is such a great organization, and this is a very needed resource. Practical career training for post-docs seems horribly neglected.

What you and I think are not really important in this conversation. Elon believes that the Woke Mind Virus is an existential threat to mankind. Perhaps he has been infected.

Ironically, digging up out-of-context history to disparage someone sounds like a “cancel culture” tactic.

I don't disagree with your point but this aciton puts a dent into his "free speech absolutist" position which he vigorously embraces. Being an Absolutist is probably fun position to take, but in real life nuance can make thin

I don't completely disagree with your point, but for one's clinical regulatory strategy, perhaps "trial and error" isn't the best branding to appeal to investigators, patients, regulators or investors.

I don't think I denied that "cancel culture" is a thing. The quote are because I have very limited exposure to social media (this site and some limited reddit) and don't follow any popular news (cnn/fox/abc

I completely agree with your point. in reviewing the thread I think I have mis-interpreted the parent comment as a stating that "HC music should criticize capitalist culture without endorsing communism". I was looking for evidence

Great example- there are more. The far left and the far right are so close they don't even know it. If they stopped seeking "good" and "evil", and hating on principle they'd see the absurdity.

As is always the devil is in the details, but regulating debt to be more difficult to come by or forcing savings seems like it would be broadly politically unpopular and would likely have significant unintended economic consequences. This i

I don't disagree with your points. Returning to the thread, I was curious about the hardcore punk bands that advocate communism, and whether that was too broad of a brush to cover that genre. The person in the video lists Bad Brains,

Generalization is a intellectual shortcut but, the bubble that the stereotypical typical Williams collage student was raised in supports this problem. I don’t know exactly what a “cancel” is, but in my mind, the behavior isn’t a left /

Genuine question: I don’t understand who the typical customer is for having the blue check. How does it make one’s experience better? Does it lead to more followers because it provides more credibility?

Labor tightness seems to be one of the drivers of the broader inflation. Additional labor may help keep that inflation under control without having to nuke the economy.

I think the internet killed punk. It’s much harder to have a cohesive subculture when all information is available to anyone. In the 80s, one had to know the right record/book store to go to, the right college radio shows to tune into,
