Yeah that sounds about right. I just wish i went right to the implant personally. The risks associated with it breaking, combined with the cost of essentially doing it twice...it all feels so pointless now.

How old are your root canals? The issue is the tooth is an organic component and it doesn’t last forever when it’s no longer supplied with blood. Once it becomes brittle, and cracks, the only solution is to remove it.

Get a post/implant put in. Lasts way longer (for your lifetime if you're careful with it), and if part of it does get damaged, chances are it can be repaired.

No hate for HR but i have to share a funny line my previous business partner used to quote: "These people are often neither humane nor are they resourceful"

And it should be illegal imo. When i was 22 and had one done the dentist failed to inform me of any of the risks of it failing (which tends to happen in 10-20 years), and i didn't appreciate how dangerous a failure of a root canal coul

Not only that, but apart from a wallpaper or something to hang on an Ikea style apartment wall - I'm not sure what else I can use this content for. They're actually pretty, i actually like though?

Prelude in C is what i went to try look for before hitting the upgrade screen! Agreed, that piece changes so much with tempo, i was excited to play with it.

I don’t know, i agree it wasn’t in the react style but it was in the style of basic logic On change detect new file is there, Set file to variable, Call api to save state. The issue is setting the variable and calling save is now a race co

It’s a mix of that. This introduced a race condition and a frustrating rendering experience, but yeah it’s a flavour of this.

Ok so this is topical for me right now. I somehow managed to avoid the world of react since it became a thing. All the code i was writing was pre react and we kept the old frameworks, and that’s was all good and well. Fast forward to today,

Nice, love seeing Paolo post this! He is a great guy, we used to work together, and I’m excited to see where he takes this.

Also earlier versions only worked about 75% of the time. The reliability impact on brands that were pre-zoom (webex, etc) made them less attractive well before the pandemic.

I dont know why you're so heavily downvoted. The second point is entirely correct and your first other than claiming something is not feasible without data to back it up (although i admit it probably isnt feasible), it seems very true

Beyond 1000ppm cognitive decline occurs. We dont have an air exchanger in our house (yet) and with us spending so much time working from home the co2 levels regularly build up to above 1000. The gas range is the easiest way to get it to 150

Yeah i was shocked when we got a CO2 / VOC meter in our house to realize the impact our gas stove was having. Replacing it is high on the todo list but sadly theres a lot of other high priority items up there right now. I'll never

I love Shademaps. I wish my product that has been using it was more of a hit, but I'll say this, Ted and Shademaps are cool. Adding trees is super practical, in many of the areas I leverage this tool we're in Urban centres but in

Maybe an auto-complete or auto correct feature, or even syntax highlighting? I just found myself exploring for the right way to type and jumped to the solution of fuzziness which i agree, might not be ideal.

Love it, is there any way to make it a little more fuzzy. Ie pk works but "primary key" doesnt, uint works, but "integer unsigned" doesnt? Great idea for helping teams communicate.

Love this. After 19 years I imagine your blog gets some traffic. Would you mind sharing how it's worked out? I think its pretty rare outside of newspapers to see someone publishing content for this long.

Not only that, but disposal is painful. In my city i have to drive to the disposal centre 30-45 mins away on a specific day of the month. So yeah, naturally people don’t do that.

I think the reason i say it’s lazy is because I often end up feeling like they didn’t care, they just asked to fill the void. I’d love to have a real conversation about anything really. Ask me about my favourite place to eat, what my opinio
