Could they rip off the layer effects feature from Photoshop? There is a plugin for it but it's honestly pretty useless. It takes forever to generate the effects, you can't edit them afterwards and they are on a separate layer.

They're not there yet. Steam for Linux only supports Ubuntu officially. Otherwise, you have to resort to installing dependencies for some of the games manually and other tinkering. Serious Sam 3 even asks for root access that it can install

Except not. Only Nexus, Sony and HTC have adopted the new button layout.

As a high school student with final math exams coming up soon, large gaps in my mathematical knowledge and a bunch of useless textbooks, I went for the "buy now" button just after reading the "I will teach you everything you need to know ab

Nice appeal to authority. This nonsense coming from an _Apple designer_ only makes it worse.

...And what does that have to do with this? Sure, experiment all you want with your personal website, but it doesn't change the fact that the site being more "experimental" does not excuse the utterly idiotic and completely broken scrolling

What on earth does a "personal site" have anything to do with a design being good? It's just as broken on a personal site as it is on a business site. It breaks an established, 20 year old user interface expectation and greatly hinders the

Yeah, and it is clearly a fucking idiotic design. Breaking a basic navigation feature that works as intended in every other application and web page for the sake of "design" is not a good thing.

Don't quote me on this, but I think that feature might be new in 4.2. Can't find it on my HP TouchPad running CM10 either.

Although vim has almost completely sucked me in already, does this thing have support for 1) separate indentation settings for different file formats and 2) separate indentation settings for different "projects"? I've been looking forever f

If we're talking about most Android devices out there I have to agree completely. Samsung's skin is especially hideous. The Nexus version of Android is what it should be. It looks great. It's clean. It's functional. It's even better than iO

Am I just missing something here or did they seriously cancel an entire conference just because of some random dude on Twitter imagining some nonexistent racism/sexism in the speaker lineup? He's making this up in his own mind. Who's the re

It's an official group for the beta which is hopefully coming soon that appeared on Wednesday. There are no news about the beta and there has been no clarification about this page's purpose. Nothing has been announced yet.

Take a look at some videos of the Kindle. That hardware is clearly not going towards the UX because that thing is so laggy.

The core Pyramid setup is actually just as minimal as Flask is. You need to add a million different Pyramid_ addons to get "full stack" functionality.
773.
by veeti 14y ago
I agree completely. However, personally I am using Flask only because tacking SQLAlchemy on top of Django feels so hacky. I wish there was a second full stack framework with SA.

Stop giving some idiot script kiddie the attention he wants. It's probably not him anyway.

by veeti 14y ago
It's not going to work on mobile. You are practically losing the entire market by going outside the Android/iOS app stores.
776.
by veeti 14y ago
Well, about that "usable" part...
777.
by veeti 14y ago
That probably depends on the developers of the games. Some of the Humble Bundle games already list Linux as a "ValidOS" in the Steam database.
