I don't have a complete answer right now, but I would consider the following ideas. * Can you deploy (not build) with a push of a button * Can you deploy the same artifact to test, stage, prod, etc with no changes? * Can all developers

I would add some sort of nsfw filter. I click on SFW and Album Art (/r/AlbumArtPorn) and the top post right now has the NSFW tag. Grid showed that nice and big right at the top. Would be better to default to blurring/hiding N

I thought further up it mentioned that it starts with the permissions of the files in the tarball, then grabs process.umask (of the npm-tarball subprocess maybe?) and then overrides the execute bit. If that is correct, that is 2 layers of q

I believe John Carmack has discussed this idea in regard to VR. I haven't actually tried current VR or tracked the development that closely to say whether this is currently feasible or not, but VR with eye tracking is perfect place for

I don't see why you would need to learn it unless you wanted/needed to work on Python web projects. It is a fairly standard, opinionated web framework. I don't think there is anything unique enough to make learning it special

Why "secure"? Why not "anquan"? Google tells me that is the Chinese word for secure and since there are about 3 times as many Chinese speakers in the world than English, shouldn't we be considering them first? Or ma

I very much agree with this. I have been doing crossfit for about 2 years now. I had never really lifted seriously or correctly before, but very on again, off again with gyms doing machines, running, cycling. None of that every fit me nor c

I also looked up Nov 9, 1961 as most of non-US used day-month-year. Nothing spectacular either.

If you are looking for a thermostat, I have heard good things about the Ecobee3. It can have several remote sensors around house, integrates with Smartthings and maybe just zigbee/zwave in general. I only got the Nest because of a grea

If I recall correctly, there was something about one of the main motivations in creating Go was to simplify build systems (partly reduce file reads of duplicate header files), so I imagine "go build" was designed to work at Google

I looked into Bazel. I like it overall, but it makes a lot of assumptions about the layout of your projects. For example, the java_test rule looks for all classes under a java or javatests folder trying to figure out the package and full Ja
