- jff 12y agoBut the maintenance is really pretty simple, the biggest problem with any gas-burning vehicle would be that all modern gas will be more or less useless after a year or so.
- JoshTriplett 12y agoElectrics would have similar problems, though at least they can be charged from either generators or the electrical grid.
- jff 11y agoA diesel motorcycle would probably be the best bet, since diesel engines can be made to run on a variety of other fuels. The US Marines have one, the M103M1 (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/24/automobiles/24KAWASAKI.html http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/24/automobiles/24KAWASAKI.htm...) but they're not really available to the public.
