Let me reply to this - your ancestors can and did come to a new life. Moving from SF to Nebraska is not a new start. You still carry your credit score, loans, run-ins with the law and all the baggage with you. 18th century lifestyle was muc

You are correct that I did not define critical reasoning. However, here is an sample case - I set a context and ask the answer from the computer. If the computer rightly understands the context and answers the question, then that is critica

One of my biggest gripes is around the Chinese room argument and these are different forms of the same. It is assumed that a mechanistic process could not have "intelligence" and it has been morphed into many forms without anyone

There is suffering and there is suffering. Even Buddha differentiated between the physical needs and the spiritual pain. We now know there is also mental pain and it is disingenuous to categorize all of them into a single category.

But it is the private health care in US. There is no other option unlike you who can choose to go private. And I would guess that your out of pocket payment will not cause you to go to bankruptcy.

Almost everyone misunderstands "the road less travelled" poem. The point is not to take the less travelled road, but it is that it does not matter. Irrespective of the road taken, the poet says he would be just connecting the dots
