Don't typical contracts for people like Twitter's staff in the US come with timing requirements on quitting? As in, you can't really quit "on the day", you have to leave proper notice and so on? I understand that in

This looks really cool! It feels like it would be a very small step to "RhymePad", i.e. an editor designed and optimized for writing rap lyrics which I think would be really cool, too. Perhaps that already exists?

From [1]: In 2007 research began on developing a computer-aided reconstruction program in a pilot project. Since the launch of the test phase at the end of 2013, approximately 60,000 pages from 18 bags have been reconstructed so far (statu

I thought heat output was the main effect, thus the talk about "district heating pipes" in the list of components. With nuclear power generation I thought there was no need to store energy, since it can generate at all times and r

Uh, speaking as a mere human, can you actually hear the music shift in tempo from 99.5 to 100.5 bpm? Or does this become apparent when using tools/mixers/whatever to work with the audio stream? I just quickly tried this on Google&

That project looks vastly more complicated, as the mention of a "C++ interpreter" loudly flags. The OP's project looks rather minimal in contrast, and very cool. I think I have had this thought too but I (semi-sadly) don'

You forgot the why-part, which certainly seems on topic in this thread. a) You just don't like chocolate and never eat/bake/cook with it, b) You really like chocolate but only very particular/fancy kinds that people nev

I don't think you are correct about the X16, it is not that compatible with the C64. From their FAQ [1]: Although it runs Commodore BASIC (itself based on Microsoft BASIC as many machines were) it was never intended to be an "emu

Interesting that the connector (12VHPWR) in question seems to be safe for only 40 (forty) cycles. That's really not a lot, as these things go. Of course it's an internal connector and not something you're supposed to plug

Wow, I was not aware of I3C being a thing, thanks for digging that up and making it visible! It looks like [1] it's from 2016 but I hadn't heard of it. I spend too little time in that part of the embedded world, it seems. From my

No, it cannot run Python. Even MicroPython [1] requires 16 KB of RAM, and probably at least 8 times more flash (code space) than this chip has. This is an embedded microcontroller, not a general-purpose computer. You program it in C, and po

Too lazy to look this up (or even figure out the relevant extension) but the obvious question to me would be how storing state for interrupts is handled?

The board seems to be 100x80 mm and two layers. The low-cost services don't seem able to directly eat Eagle-format files, so I could only price it on Eurocircuits [1] where it came out to €50+ which seems like a lot. Strange for an ope

Very cool! The two demos seem to be broken right now, but I guess this is nowhere near being released and/or intended for public consumption yet. Also (from "Taking a break" linked [1] in the post): does Figma not use email?
