You mean "a cluster of highly trained elite software ninjas masking as one guy in public". Eh. No, just kidding, of course, it's just that project^W site has a huge Fabrice Bellard-factor to it. Very, very impressive.

TIL about the chain [1] as a unit of distance, equal to 66 feet and divided into 100 links of course. Wow. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chain_(unit)

The unit symbols for those units (A, C, P and K) are capitalized, but the units when spelled out (ampere, coulomb, pascal and kelvin) are not, just like the spelled out forms of liter, gram and meter.

Meta: I don't understand "RNG" (random number generation, right?) in the title, since the article is about a quoting issue causing a value to be interpreted as a floating-point value in scientific notation, rather than a stri

Wow, cool to see Sigrok here, I wonder if there was some particular "trigger" story or how that happened. Glad to think that there will be many "lucky 10,000" [1] today. I haven't used it in years, but I clicked bac

Very nice and very straight-forward. I really liked the part on getting "Doom" to run, impressive how easy such porting is now! Any low-level C is kind of catnip for the old SO-powered part of my brain, but did not spend a lot of

This is fun and impressive, but it feel the author kind of misses out on explaining in the intro why it would be wrong to just ... use C's regex library [1]? I guess the entire post could be seen as an exercise in wrapping C++ to C wit

If this was Reddit, someone would comment with just "username checks out". (In Gibson's "Neuromancer", an Ono-Sendai is a brand and/or type of cyberdeck).
