That’s complete and utter bullshit. Stuff like that used to happen (the dark late 90s and early 2000s) but not anymore. And even during that time (which was during my childhood) I always found a cool new way to use the special pieces. I act

This is not a new development. Lego has had sets loudly targeting girls (or better: stereotypes about girls) since 1991. Lego Paradisa set where sold all through the 90s. Here is the Poolside Paradiese from 1992: http://www.brickset.com/de

I think with autonomous cars it’s even easier to just split liability 50:50 (or any other way) when there is doubt about the cause. That already happens now, and if there are no egos but only machines involved I’m guessing it’s even easier.

Is that actually the case? In Germany you are always liable for all damage your car does, no matter whether it is caused by your own mistakes or because of a technical failure. This might not seem fair but the second piece to this puzzle is

The visualization successfully captures two important aspects. That’s actually pretty damn good for a visualization, I think. It’s ok to simplify and the visualization isn’t even lying about what it is: Everyone can plainly hear that the mu

I think ridicule is perfectly appropriate once the beliefs you are talking about get batshit insane. Ridicule is a powerful tool, not so much to convince those who already believe, rather to convince those thinking about believing or on the

I have heard that Russia has serious engineering problems with their space program because they neglected it after the end of communism for more than one decade. They now have a lot of really old engineers who are going into retirement and

I know it's not as central to their business as flash memory, but as far as I know all their music software is still being developed in Germany. (Apple bought a German software company to get pro audio tools.)

You are right. I’m sorry, I put that comment in the wrong context. But the App Stores allows you to install apps on as many Macs or iOS devices you want (as long as you own or control them) and it also allows for commercial use (also by com

That’s some selective quoting right there. The terms for commercial use are right under what you are quoting and virtually identical to the terms for non-commercial use. See also my other comment where I still assumed that you made a mistak

You seem to be quoting the terms for the iTunes Store. The terms are confusing (because they throw all their various Stores and their different terms in one long document), so quoting the wrong part of the terms is hardly your fault. The Ma

I think you are generalizing a bit too much. Yes, the details are always complicated, but that’s not the problem. People do understand the broad strokes of the laws against killing people or stealing. People do not understand what the basic

Exactly. Copyright used to be something that concerned companies or professional creators of content. Normal people didn’t have to deal with it. It just never happened. (I’m guessing that’s one of the reasons why copyright law is so complic

My point is that retail won’t be doing that much better if Amazon has to pay VAT. An example for this are countries where Amazon already has to pay VAT and retail isn’t doing that much better.
