Exactly. I guess some people just don't understand that there's a big difference between boasting about how many shots of vodka you had last night and chilling with a beer or two.

Great, another almost content-free article with a link bait title. Can we start submitting/upvoting interesting things instead, please?

I think the site is starting to creak under the strain. Perhaps a torrent of the MP3s would be a good idea?

For the people that do, there's still a HN group over there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/114326995294656/

I love it when things like this appear on HN - some insight into the politics of a project that we'd normally never see. Sure does make a change from the kind of crap that keeps hitting the front page nowadays.

People still save passwords? I just let the cookies hang around. Haven't been logged out of anything for months. Anyway, it has to be possible to retrieve the password in plain text for Chrome to be able to use it. Even if they remove the f

Pretty cool, but the thought of inflate/deflate running in Javascript makes me cringe. How fast is this?

> Let's not forget Dropbox is just a replica of local storage. That's the whole model. It's more meaningful to discuss whether or not this could happen to S3. Well, every Dropbox account has a `Public` folder with direct HTTP access.

Well, you don't really have an alternative for that (short of writing your rendering code with the NDK, as I ended up doing). The overhead of all the crap I had to do just to get coordinates from Java to OpenGL was downright ridiculous.

It's quite refreshing to see a new language that doesn't have garbage collection. Memory leaks have always been less of a problem for me than the kind of performance hit GC can cause (particularly in games).

Were you replying to me? I explicitly said .lenght would return undefined. As in, a typo on the .length property.

It's not, because reutrn is a syntax error, but .lenght is valid and would return `undefined`.

Doesn't the thought of your product being governed by "Libyan Islamic/Sharia Law" worry you at all?

What's with this trend of using TLDs from places like Libya? It might give you a cute sounding domain, but when you're using it as part of the product name you're going to be stuck with it for a long time. Remember when `vb.ly` was seized b

One advantage of using C/C++ is that (performance allowing) it's going to be relatively easy to port to Android's NDK or iOS.

As a musician, there's something genuinely horrific about the destruction of a musical instrument. Whether it's the fault of PayPal or not, I really hope whoever has done this gets what they deserve.

Google auth system is a very good idea - it seems the spam is already kicking off (or at least, people are adding profiles that don't belong to them). Good work getting this up and running so quickly, anyway.
