Perhaps at your institution, but where I consult it is much harder to fire an "at will" administrator than it is to fire an adjunct. Even one who took a month of unannounced vacation out of the country then retroactively declared

Are you aware that most non tenured positions require you to reapply every year for your job? Every 3 years if you are lucky. This in not a simple annual review like a normal job, this is you are fired at the end of your 1 year contract and

Let's say that was true and I am calling BS on it as I happen to consult in higher ED at an Ivy. Would it be a problem if it was true that someone with a phd and 3 or 4 years of additional research experience were to make the same sala

You might be able to cherry pick some outliers for sure. Just like at any company or institute. I can tell you from personal experience though that the going rate for a new hire full STEM professor with tenure at a prior institution was 95k

Adjuncts and lecturers dont do research nor do they typically do service. If one wanted to be educated by lecturers then they could attend a community college. That is of course a viable option but no tenure will be the kiss of death to any

ChatGPT is wicked cool, but it hallucinates authoritative answers. I would rather my family doctor not know of nor use nor be tempted to use it in relation to any medical advice my family receives.

Do you have any clients? Can you demonstrate demand? Can you articulate a clear problem that others agree exists and a clear solution? Are you sure you need investors? What will you use their money for that is worth giving up a likely subst

My apologies if I have misinterpreted your statements. Perhaps you could clarify what you meant when you said: " if you give a raise to one engineer, word will spread, and you'll have to give raises to all of them, and your burn w

I'm perfectly calm, you're the one firing employees because you don't like their "Christmas Wish List". Let's say that you didn't like that person's 75k ask (again it was a wish list). Until the slowd

If you ask people to generate a "Christmas wish list" and don't like the result you tell them thanks for their input but unfortunately you can't get them everything on the list. You literally asked for a wish list and fr

Some odd typos there for someone who is a managing partner and multiple time CEO. That aside, the trick here seems to be rather than attempting to retain employees, one should treat them as expendable and invest in office furniture instead.

How would it be remiss to omit these factors, several of which seen irrelevant. Are you suggesting that their proof be discounted because it might be divinely inspired?

Apparently there are some university math professors such as Lozano-Robledo who disagree with you. I can't say if their proof will hold up under real peer review but I hope it does.
