Selling ownership, not licenses, is great. Both ownership and licenses can be sold with or without NFTs. How do NFTs help?

All the obfuscation I described is present in EULAs, ToSs, and US law, all of which are enforced, when called upon, mostly as written. Maybe there is a higher standard in custom B2B contracts, but that really gets down to the point of it: y

The problem with all these “nobody reads this” contests and “proofs” is that communication always and must be both parties’ job. If 1 in 100 doesn’t understand you then it’s probably them, but if it’s 99 in 100 then it’s you who screwed up.

Personally I don’t believe in “plural”. If there’s more than one of something I just say it: “I went to the aquarium and saw octopus octopus octopus. I’d tell you what I saw around the anthill outside, but I’m not sure you have the time.” :

The mechanical keyboard community is unfortunately really toxic. In addition to second hand accounts, I have a friend who’s a newbie in it who I encouraged to talk to people to get her bearings, and there was a basically unanimous chorus of

I wonder if the nascent CSS Layout API enables a proper solution to this. A quick skim of the spec seems to indicate that it could run the author’s algorithm in a single layout pass and it does reveal the browser’s chosen line break points,

And what a loss it is. Now we must split reminders from the documents they remind of, bookmarks from code repos, product photos from product text, emailed design requirements from design work. It’s enforced organization by format, rather th

I wrote my own local .html file, in a local unpackaged extension for Chrome to accept it. It was just four columns of links with favicons and multiple headings per column, and inline inputs to quickly search different sites, and modifier-le

I’ve noticed the inverse: when I replaced the Chrome new tab page with a custom .html file, I suddenly found myself using Google Search much less, using Google URL suggestions much less, and syncing less data to Google servers. The differen

I think you’re certainly correct, but remember that the question wasn’t just about understanding mirrors, but using mirrors to make a point about bias. “A mirror image is swapped left to right” doesn’t appear to be biased at all, and yet it

I didn’t know that terminology, thank you. But reading the article, are those not applicable only to body parts? Would an astronaut ever say to another astronaut, while floating in different orientations, “Hit the button to your superior”?

Why is it that mirrors flip your image left to right, but not top to bottom? That’s a question that Richard Feynman supposedly asked his grad students. Once you answer it, I think you’ll realize that #1 is anything but trivial. Answer below

If you use the same credit card at walmart.com and in a physical Walmart store, then your itemized in-store purchases will show up as orders in your walmart.com account. This is without providing any other form of ID.

A fascinating idea. For your hypothesis to work, and I think this is what you mean by the article supporting it, sleep would have had to evolve very early. Because being awake activates a great deal of a modern organism’s complexity, and th

In English the plural is cacti, with cactuses and cactus also accepted. In general, trying to treat English as a rule-based language, not an amalgamation of special cases, will result in mistakes. Like “gooses”, “passerbies”, “milleniums”,

Please try to stay civil. In response to your assertion that the courts don’t work: > If the laws that protect us aren’t good enough, then the solution is better laws, not to exempt some classes from the law!
